does anyone in here paint??

somebody gave me this very nice drawing that i would like to paint and maybe gift to them eventually but i have this problem where the canvas has become smudged since i didn't wrap it before putting it in storage for over a year.
i can get ride of the smudges by painting the background all together but that would erase the drawing too and without that, there wont be much of a point of gifting it to this person..

what do i do??

If its oil paints, and perhaps otherwise, turpentine can help. Try to do it outside because the odor is strong and you would wear dish washing gloves or the like. I am assuming the smudge is paint based. You can try it out by putting a little onto the edge of a q-tip and testing it on a small region of the smudge.

Well that would be an avante-garde ending to the piece- but I was never a huge Christo fan.

Another option is the alcohol cleaning pads/swabs used in hospitals and at medical clinics.

Who said I paint? Or that I paint living things? Or that I take photographs? One possibility might have been that I painted a wall or a tree or a house or a design. There is that habit I warned you guys about that is a dangerous one - which is making assumptions.

I also for instance know that crack addicts grow their pinkey nails longer than the rest of their nails because they snort from that one - doesnt mean that I also snort crack.

At the end of the day your desire to stamp them out created them. So for now, yes in certain places, thanks to you it is haram.

So this is the pattern of logic which is followed when mullahs are found sitting in front of prostitute dancing in front of them. It's not them doing something that they believe is immoral, it's the prostitute. They are just practicing their right to sit on a chair. That's all.
Taking a picture is wrong but sitting on your ass so someone else can take it for you, perfectly alright.

It means the people of Iraq and Afghanistan defeated USA because USA allows painting and these 2 nations do not because they are Muslims and painting of living objects is shirk in Islam? Good logic. Painting made US the sole super power and no painting made Iraq and Afghanistan , the most backward and killers of each other not only of others.
