faye, I think this resembles Australian topography (i mean the interior) if it is not actually an Australian scenery. I find it very beautiful almost breath-taking.

interesting that this type of scene appeals to you so much. apart from the snowy mountain peaks, i thought you would prefer the lush green areas.
it is more barren than any australian area i have personally been to. in the interior, usually the soil is reddish and there has been some shrubs or spiky grasses.

Actually, the scene is broad and there are mountains in the horizon and the landscape is kind of grass-land. But it is true that I like lush green valleys snow-covered mountains, etc. more.
