Kandahar Faculty of Education



Education faculty is located in the north of Kandahar city in the Kandahar University it has one study block and boys’ hostel. The Kandahar University has an administration, library and four faculties Medical, Engineering, Agriculture and Education. A new faculty of Islamic Law is going to be the part of the University next year.

I actually forgot that Kandahar had an univercity -_-. The only univercity in Afghanistan that looks good is that of Herat and afcours the one in Kabul the rest looks more like some military camps but it is still better than nothing I guess......

I see. Afghanistan's govt should start focusing on educational institutions in provinces other than Kabul. While Kabul evolves, the growth of other provinces remains at a constant. It seems Afghanistan's govt is only Kabul's govt.

That's a correct analysis. Although the Iranians heavily invest in Herat. If you ever visit Herat, it's probably better than any Pakistanior Afghan city. 24 hour electricity, clean, good education, etc.

Yes, however the Pashtun educational institutions and areas are heavily in poverty compared to that of the persian-speakers. Then again, it's not Afghanistans govt funding Herat, it's Irans. This could lead to heavily bad consequences if it is continued, as the people of Herat already share common heritage, culture, and language with that of the Iranians, the only thing separating them is a border.

Herat has always received too much funds from Iran. How did you
not know that?

Kabul has received floods of Money from out side, Especially since Nato has
been there.

Now lets talk about Kandahar University. Well in 11 years that Nato has been there, the only thing they managed to do in 11 years is to build a wall.

Kandahar University is Funded by Afghan Pashtuns Private Construction
firms, and phone Companies private businesses.
A lot Money came out Afghan Pashtun Civilians Pocket.

No one is helping Kandahar University yet.
Afghan Government has neglected it badly.

Kandahar University has 173 Professors all from Kandahar and Helmand,
Zabul.

Most are retired old Men who teach only Part time.
All the Professors are on such low pay, its useless.
A few are working for free.

It still needs a lot of Building work.

This support will enable hundreds of women and men to have access to modern education, which is the need of today’s Afghanistan to move towards lasting peace and development.” He added, “I hope this support will continue until this Institute can stand on its own feet.”
