Last time I visited Kandahar University in 2005 it didn't have the boundary wall and it still doesn't.

nice masjid, except the talibs built the dome crooked.

the afghan gov't needs to put more money into this university, its been neglected for years.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

^ I'm assuming it's because not a lot of people actually go to this university.

Thousands attend it. However, a lot of bright Kandahari minds avoid it because it's been traditionally neglected, and it lacks resources.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I see. Afghanistan's govt should start focusing on educational institutions in provinces other than Kabul. While Kabul evolves, the growth of other provinces remains at a constant. It seems Afghanistan's govt is only Kabul's govt.

Kandahar University has thousands Male students attending and females attending the University.

There isn't enough space. More space is needed and teachers and resources, to fulfill the enrollments demand.

Enrollments are increasing yearly, plans of expansion were being discussed
                          in July.

Great wall of Qandahar now surrounds the Qandahar University and Campus.

The University has 4 main faculties Medicine, Engineering, Education and Agriculture.

The Students are bright some with very high IQ.

As Admin khan Lala pointed out, its been neglected for years.

it still needs a lot of rescouces.

Shir Aqqa Safai Speaks to the Audience

Shir Aqqa Safai, Director of Kandahar Education Department said, “On behalf of the Kandahar Education Department, I would like to thank the government of the United States of America for providing financial support to the Kandahar Institute of Modern Studies. This support will enable hundreds of women and men to have access to modern education, which is the need of today’s Afghanistan to move towards lasting peace and development.” He added, “I hope this support will continue until this Institute can stand on its own feet.”

High-speed internet access will allow the women to study more efficiently with a variety of international education programs including the Canada-based Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and one-on-one ESL tutoring with New York-based Alliance for International Women’s Rights via Skype. The school staff can also communicate with its partners such as the Canadian International Learning Foundation and the National Educator Program for teachers, administrative capacity-building and financial support through real-time video-conferencing.
The Deputy Governor of Kandhar Lends His Encouragement

The grant will facilitate impressive progress on important issues such as gender equality, development, professional education and employment. We believe it will give the gift of hope and opportunity to the many women of Kandahar.
Adbul Qadeem Patyal, Kandahar Deputy Governor said, “Today again I would like to thank the US government’s generous investment in our education development. This assistance will always be remembered by the people of Afghanistan.”
