Shlombay, there is a huge difference between wearing booty shorts and wearing undergarments in public.

As a Muslim in America, I lower my gaze and do my own thing, and let others do theirs. However.....

Wearing undergarments in public is not okay, its tacky and indecent. I am sure there are plenty of people that want to wear their boxers, underwears, and bras in public.....but dont wear it for everyone to see. If i see it, hell yeah i am going to ask them to at least respect people around them. If they were wearing it at a beach, and it was their bikini or whatever swimwear they wear then so be it, then i cannot do anything about that.

There is a place and time for everything, wearing your underwear in the subway station is not an appropriate place for it.

I think the main point you are missing here is that it's immodest to be going outside in your underwear. While it's certainly their free-will, we Pashtuns want no part of it. In fact, not that many 'New Yorkers' participated in this event. I have nothing against those who participated but it's only natural to see Pashtuns unhappy with such an act. What you have posted is not only unacceptable in our religion, but it's also unacceptable in our Pashtun culture. I can voice my distaste, but my distaste doesn't mean I am being intolerant. It means that I don't conform to your beliefs of tolerance. We should certainly be tolerant but what you have posted in a Pashtun Forums is something far beyond the realms of tolerance. Don't get me wrong. I certainly understand your angle of thought, but for us Pashtuns, there is a far larger picture.
