My observation there is that there is no central or provincial level of interest in educational partnerships with reputable NGOs.
One other observation - is that I find way too many Pakistanis expect me to 'explain' the Afghan-Indian/Afghan-American political relationships. This is merely the tip of a much wider paranoia that exists and perhaps I would find this frustrating if I had to work there long term. Still, I'm open to things. Perhaps the right project will find me.
I'm not an escapee or a migrant to the West, so my equation will be different. I'm fortunate enough to be able to make a choice about coming, staying or going. I see the region for what it is - challenges that need political solutions, but I accept that I have to slot in before I can change from within. I do the sensible thing before speaking my mind. That's common sense. Most people in Pakistan or Afghanistan are the same, so I see very little conflict in my position or that of a home-grown Pashtun.
