  • First of all, you must understand that French writing and pronunciation is very different.
Last letter in a word is often silent. An accent on a vowel sometimes changes the pronunciation. A c with a , is is pronounced like s. ch is like sh in English. r is like غ or w. h is always silent and n is silent after a vowel.

    Numbers in French:

    zéro 0 (pronounced like "zayro")
un 1 (n is silent so it's pronounced "uh" like rappers say)
deux 2 (x is silent so it's pronounced "do")
trois 3 (s is silent so it's pronounced "twa")
    quatre 4 (u, r and e are silent so it's pronounced "cat")
cinq 5 (pronounced like "sank" in English)
    six 6 (pronounced "sees")
sept 7 (p is silent so it's pronounced "set")
huite 8 (h is silent so it's pronounced "weet")
neuf 9 (pronounced like "nerve" in English)
    dix 10 (pronounced like "dees")
