of course faye i am familiar to the works of both powell and mccurry, and you are right the photos do capture my emotions. you know, I was less than 10 when we left, and I havent seen zabul and oruzgan (my father's ancestral area) with my eyes since then. it is remote and active. so austere and beautiful. thanks for the memory trip.
