To tel the trouth about Khattb I know less than about the other Chechen commanders, so it is difficult for me to see him as historical figure.
I have more clear views about Israfilov, Raduev, Basaev, Gelaev and Maskhadov.
Personally I respect Maskhadov a lot. The others I do not much, they were more opportunists, Maskhadov on the other hand loved his people and faught for freedo of Chechens, not for earning money and power.
He was human even to his enemies , while Basaev was inhuman even to his own people.
About Khttab it is difficult for me to say something. Can You perhaps share the biography of him You have?
