  • So for instance, if you were charged with writing a biography about, say, Ahmad Shah Baba or Khushal Khan Khattak, and you read through his Tareekhi-e- Ahmad Shah, or through Khushal Khan Khattak's Diwan and you felt that out of 100% of his writing, 90% of it promoted nationalistic causes, you would write about that and perhaps note that 10% of what you came across incorporated religious ideology. So then you would want to effectively address that 10%... meaning it couldnt just be glossed over, but you would emphasis how its just about 10% if that. An excellent example was your post about the ziariaat in Kandahar to the dead Arab Mujahideen... meaning you stepped outside of your personal views on Pakistan and Afghanistan and made an objective assessment, even if it did not help your cause. It shows a great degree of honesty.
