basically theres a ring, it belonged to some evil guy, and when he lost it, it got passed on to loadsa difff people, then it came to the possesion of some lil village boy called FRODO and the evil king sends his miniions to retrieve the ring, and frodo must take the ring back to where it was created as its the only way to destroy it, plus there loads of other cool **** like fighting and stuff :D
