I am sticking to my original answer to you. You want to call me a shia. That is fine by me. I am calling myself muslim...I am a follower of Muhammed sallahualihiwasalam. Wasn't al ghazali a shia? Wasn't Imam Abu Jaffar, the great great great grandson of the holy prophet a shia? So if you are saying shias are wrong...then basically you are saying you know more about Islam than the progeny of The Chosen One. That is pretty arrogant of you.

Actually, it wasn't only because those that had memorized the Qur'an were dying off. It was actually because difference began to arise between the recitations of the Quran. Small changes here and there. However, know that when the prophet was asked by the companions, he, pbuh, had said that as long the verses of mercy had not been altered to verses of wrath, the changes would not effect the Quran. You obviously didn't know this.
