where i am now is magnetic island in queensland. i am surrounded by trees, most of them different types of palms. they are lovely to be around but the humidity in the wet season and just before it, are very high. too high for my liking but i love the environment. we have koalas, snakes, wallabies, the occassional crocodile swims around, lots of reef sharks, turtles, dugong, big green tree frogs, possums and more. some of the reef is good for snorkelling as well. so you can see why i like it even if the humidity is barely bearable.
some of these animals actually watch me at night when i am on the computer and one of them makes this strange croaky/barking sound at me every now and then i still don't know which one as it disappears before i can get out there with my torch.
