They are more closer to Pashtuns than any other race in Pakistan.
Because there is a big portion of these Hindku speakers who belong to Pashtun tribes.

While there are some who claim of Turkic/Mughal origin.

Besides Urdu is native language of only 5% Pakistani people.

I have many hindkuan friends, One guy was telling me its too chaotic that Pashtuns here think that we are Panjabis due to our language(which is not exactly panjabi)
and when we go to lahore Panjabis call us Pathans.
