if robin hood kills 5 people then that according to a utilitarian would serve the pursuit of pleasure as he is only killing 5 people and is feeding 1000 people...........because the greatest good for the greatest number is served and in utilitarianism the ends justify the means.

However if iline......spends alot of money to make herself feel better when it will only lead to the opposite.......then it wouldnt create pleasure........

utilitarianism is teleological thus an action is not judged by its nature but by its end result.
