I don't know if Canada is different, but there is a general SAT which you take (maths and english), and then there are specific subject SAT 2s (some top universities want this too).
I would say you are good just taking the SATs. If you want to go to say Yale University, you would have to take SAT II's also. Google it and also ask your adviser.
