I don't think it is a wise idea for you to go now. It is not safe there. How is your aunt and her family doing there (I assume they are in Kandahar)? There are too many things that could go wrong. InShallah, things will get better. I have always wanted to go. This past summer, I asked my father repeatedly if I could go with this doctor this coming year (June 2011), but he said no. This doctor has been doing charity work there before 2001, so he is well-connected. What have your parents said about this (you going to Afghanistan)?
