LZ, who said that Islam is close-minded? The Prophet (pbuh) would allow people to come to him and insult him on his face. he would take it. They would ask him all sorts of questions. Islam has always taught us to question things, to never just take things without thinking. The proper Islam is no longer practiced by Muslims today, both extremists at both ends of the spectrum. Today, prayer has become a ritual rather than a act of worship.

Proper Islam which unfortunately does not exist today, never forced people to convert. It opened the door, and welcomed a person in if they wanted to.
