I have dual citizenship, I'm hoping to go visit the UK sometime soon. Yes, the States does indeed have an excellent reputation for higher education, but I think even more than that, there is a demand for work. Comparing Canada and the US, Canada is nowhere near as developed from coast to coast, where as in the US you can find many more major cities (lots of corporations, firms, financial institutions, etc.).

Statistically speaking, not a whole lot of the population attends Ivy League schools, but regardless they are able to get well paying jobs with their educations. I guess in Canada, since we have much less universities, they are all considered to be pretty top notch.
