5 things that will get you into a top 30 medical school
1) Research (get published) do as many research projects as you can. I would do clinical research with humans (i don't like harming animals in basic science research)
2) Service-Volunteer at the hospital or free clinic on a consistent basis-he told me they want to see dedication and passion-not a one week help poor people thing lol, but consistent demonstration of service. Hospital volunteering would be the best
3) leadership of any club you like to be a part of (Afghan Student Association, Chess Club, cooking club)
4) other EC's say you like boating or something, poetry, or music
5) a research job or hospital job or even a job at a coffee shop would also look good

You need to get a good MCAT score, so study hard for it, and do well. Get examkrakers and take the Princeton Review Course or Kaplan (whichever you feel you like) Also get or download the MCAT guide from AMMC MCAT website.
