  • Morocco is still an option - it always will be, what with its great Arabic programs and the women activist groups and all. Egypt, too, has become an option, since it, like Morocco, got these really interesting (and seemingly "un-Islamic") laws like making polygamy practically impossible for men, giving women the right to divorce their husbands just like men have been granted the right, and taking away men's privilege of divorcing their wives simply by uttering the word "talaaq" three times. Both Morocco and Egypt have decided these changes needed to be made, and so I'm interested in how lay Moroccans and lay Egyptians (especially men) deal with this, since many Muslims consider them un-Islamic and against the Sharia and all.
If I ever go, I'll let you know and keep you updated, ka khairee :D
