Anyways Pakistan used to be good pals back in the days, but things changed after we decided to go nuclear. US put major embargoes on Pakistan and that didnt bode well for our economy, all of our military equipment fighters etc were bought from US so we got majorly handicapped there too.
However that helped us indegineous modernization and with help from china we got back on our feet, in a way you guys helped us by shutting us out. We were able to get more independent.
Thats where Pakistan and Egypt are different.
The reason for coups was ofcourse the inability of our politicians to run our country, and military had to step in from time to time to fill the power vaccuum. That stopped our institutions from getting stronger, but now things are getting better. Army is back in the barracks, and despite the shortcomings of the current government, democracy despite how ugly it might be has prevailed
