I have a request!

People, please put all your issues with me in one thread. I have so many people who have beef with me, I can't answer all of you simultaneously. There is some mentioning of my name and some complaint about me and some nasty lie made up about me all over this forum.

I know I am not exactly an angel. So I probably deserved some of it.

But please, do not consume my time by hiding your comments all over the forum.

Put all you beef with me in this thread. So whenever I manage to steal some time from my daily routine, I can come respond to you in due manner.

^Would you stop with secular this and secular that. Secularism is not against religion. If it was no one would be able to practice their religion wherever the governments are secular. Moreover, don't define all Secularists in the same manner; just as there are some Muslims who misrepresent Islam, there are also Secularists who misrepresent Secularism.

I honestly don't have a problem with you. As a matter of fact, I think you should stop explaing yourself to people. State your point then walk away from it. If some one wants to learn something from you they should earn it. Not mock your beliefs or demand you explain things to them. People need to find better ways of dealing with their fear of you.

Why should anyone have to explain her/himself to others constantly, especially when the other side is asking questions only in an effort to "mock" or "humiliate," as they themselves say it? Say what you gotta say -- in a NON-hostile manner -- and if some like it, great; if others don't like it, so be it. Why are we (me including) so stuck to the idea of explaining ourselves over and over and over, clarifying our views over and over and over, when others REFUSE to listen to us or to ponder what we're saying in order to understand it themselves? Really, I'm so tired of having to do that. If a person doesn't want to understand, why make them? When an author writes a book and people write commentaries and responses and offer their interpretations of the author's views, you don't see the author responding back with, "NO! No, no, no -- I didn't mean THAT. I meant THIS! When I said X, I didn't mean XYZ; I meant that ABC."

Oh, I understand that this is a forum and our posts are hence incomparable to books, but the concept is the same. We need to learn how to read and think critically so that the speaker doesn't have to waste her/his time oversimplifying everything for you. (Gosh, I've been meaning to write some posts on how to think/read critically since such a skill can help us with exams like the GRE, MCAT (?), and others.) I dream of this ideal world in which people will read something, THINK about it for a while, and then once calm, present a reasonable response, one that is void of a mocking tone and does not tell the other "Hah! I put you in your place!" or "hah! You lost the argument, I won! Admit it!" or "hah! I see your true colors now, and I'm telling the world! I know what your intentions are! I know what you are! (wo)man up and tell the world, or I'll do it!" This is stupidity. Such posts don't deserve a response, and I wish those who get such remarks from some imbeciles around here would just ignore it. It's so embarrassing to be associated with such people. I don't know how anyone does.

All that to tell you: Why do you care that people are talking about you? People are GOING to disagree with you on many, many things because every human is different, has different experiences, and has different beliefs -- whether we like to admit it or not. Let it be. When someone disrespects you, point it out there and then (or report it), and then let it go. Silence makes the loudest noise when that's given as a response to stupidity. I wish more of us would realize this.

I believe that the only people who care about what others think of them so much and allow others' criticism and comments to consume them half to death are those who are here to change people, to impose their own ideologies on others, and to teach others without believing that they, too, should be learning in return.

I don't have a problem with anyone -- I only pity people who don't know how to respect a different point of view and who are here only to mock others and to impose their views on others. And, no, respecting another viewpoint doesn't mean adopting it as your own.

for those of you who have commented in this thread,

the issue is not with me and those who have conflicting views and values. But rather with those who start an argument as soon as they are confronted with the fact that there are some who will attempt to falsify their secularist and fascist dogma's like pashtun supremacy, or the blind and unconditional allegiance with the Americans.

As these people assume that we muslims should be willing to accept their sceptisim and criticism of our religion, likewise, they should take criticism of their false beliefs and ideologies.

But unfortunately, people of falsehood are too weak to endure that which they prescribe for others.

They take the liberty to mock Islam or to spread lies about mujahedeen. But as soon as you talk about their false idols and their immorality and nihilism, they start calling names and go around mentioning your name in every thread as if they are some how have been wronged.
