  • Pashto.org and Mokadar

I wonder what happened to Pashto.org and its admn/owner, Mokadar. That site served Pashtuns for almost 7-8 years albeit with shot intervels of being down. The other great site was Hewad run by Harun Khan not active now. KhyberWatch of Zahid saib is also a great site but having become bit commercial these days.

One site that has been consistently up and unchanged for at least 6 years is Khyber.org of Umar Khan.

We Pashtuns should acknowledge the services of the above gentlemen.

Frankly I find PF (Pashtun Forums) the bestso far for its openness and freedom of expression to all. Furthermore, over the time, very good resources on various aspects of Pashtun Culture have accumulated on PF. The credit goes to dedicated admns/moderators and contributing members.

                Hi,

Lets not badmouth other websites. I share a lot in common with every sensible Admin who claims to be working for my people. If a website is dedicated to Pashtuns, I myself won't mind assisting others to create sites for our causes. We need more media attention and presence. In the 21st century, many wars are fought on the internet. Its the internet where young minds are getting infiltrated. If any site is out of business for whatever reason and they need to get it back up, feel free to contact me and I will assist in the process. The Admins of many Afghan/Pashtun sites are regular members on PF with whom I share a good friendship with. There are lots of admins of other sites present here. Some are anonymous and only I know about it. So please, think twice before you type something.

We are not in competition with anyone but we do expect sites to gain traffic in an ethical manner. If anyone has started a site for Pashtun causes, they can PM me and I will try my level best to assist them. Toramana, this site is where it is right now because of your precious contributions and the presence of our honorary members. As for as badmouthing other sites go, we are Pashtuns, our Religion and Culture teaches us to be respectful . We should not be talking behind peoples back. We are very straightforward people. So before many of you begin tearing each others shirts, I will lock this thread.

Shame on each and every one of you who is badmouthing Mokadaar. I don't know who he is, or what he has done, but the fact that he owned and operated a forums for Pashtuns is enough for me to know that he cared for his people. Never gossip behind someone when they are not present. I am sure you guys would have not had the audacity to say that in his face. Lazh sharam wakey.

                Note:

Even if any members of this site start new sites, we don't have to know why or how they gossiped about us. We are grown people and we expect to resolve matters in a grown and professional manner.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
