  • Few humble requests

I would like to bring it in the notice of the Admn and members of this great Forums site that

    1. Please take all possible care that this site may not be crashed because of the heavy traffic load and the vaulable members may not waste their impportant material once and for all. This happened with me in another forum where I lost all my write ups and my poetry which unfortunately I could not save it some where else. Site Administration is a serious task and one must be prepared for any eventuality and may have time and resources to expand and develop .

    2. All members may separate serious and non serious stuff in their posts. I see like many other similar sites that in a serious topic members start jokes, personal questions, writing just LOL, i like it , adorable, smilies etc. Please post light things in light sections. Dont mix the serious, educational stuff with entertainment or personal comments and greetings etc. Admn and moderators may delete all irrelevant and light stuff from serious topics. If you dont have enough material to criticize, comment or add to the topic then avoid writing just a sentence.

3, As alraedy sugegsted by one member that there should be space for blogs. If it cant be there then the practicable solution is that the site may have a SECTion of CREATIVE WRITING for articles, essays, long write ups , fiction, short stories etc where a member may post articles of more than one page stuff and at the end members may comment on it.

Thanx a lot and hope for the favourable action and more suggestions in pipe line hahaaaaaaa

I would love to add this section, only if I know we have members who will be posting frequently in this section.

I appreciate your suggestions, I really do.

Hope you enjoy your stay here, welcome home.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Trust me - they WILL be active in it Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease add it if it's not a problem for you. If it's not active, you can take it away after a little while Please, please, PLEEEEEEEEASE! I swear I don't mean to be demanding... I just think it'll be really nice. Juuuust a little section for a blog on our pages, that's all.

And people can just have the *option* of blogging here if they want. Others can comment on their pots if they want. No one will *have* to maintain one, you know what I mean?

Or are you thinking of a section INSIDE the forums we have currently, or one adding to the list of forums like Religion, Pashtun Culture, Politics, etc.? ... If so, then we must have a different idea, 'cause I'm thinking more of a section inside our own pages here on PF for blogging, just as we have one for sharing photos.

Lemme know if that doesn't make sense; I'll try to clarify.

I will like it if Qrratugai and most of these members post all their blogs and not just have it cluttered.

idk, I feel mixed about this.

Sanga? I'm not sure what you mean by cluttered, khor jaaney.

Do you mean like have a thread that could be titled something like "Members' Blogs" and then inside it, all bloggers who want to share their blogs can post their links in there, preferably with a short description of what sort of topics their blogs cover? If so, that's not a bad idea!

We can have it that way until more members request the same thing. Ka sanga?

              no what I mean is
you posting your blog and then a seperate thread for another blog.

not just 1 thread with all the blogs.

Oooohhh, okay, I see what you mean. But that'd mean some extreeeeeeemely long threads, since not only will you be posting all of your blog posts there, but you'll also be responding to the comments of members who reply, kana?

                    Section for the creative writing

I really feel handicapped when I want to share here with friends my long articles. If I post it in other sections then it seems very long and boring for many. Also it disappears after few days as new threads are appearing daily.

I request the Admn once again to please add a separate section on the name of Creative writing where members can open thread where long articles, essays, research papers, thesis, novels, dramas, fictions, long poems , book reviews , compositions, analytical writing, critique, expose, dissertation, treatise etc can be posted and then other members can write their comments on these long write ups.

It will be a separate corner for serious members who want to share their creativity with interested members only. Where only serious, intellectual and creative discussions will be carried out. This will be a kind of magazine of this site.

Please do consider it. Thanx in advance

                      Osho wrora,
You had requested me to make a Blog's section. I went ahead, I created it. I left it up for a month and it had only 6 topics. With little to no participation.

What is exactly should be the title, and what should it consist of since many of our respected members already post poems etc in our literature section.

Your voice is always heard, so no worries. Thanks.

                        DERA MANANA

What matters is quality not quantity. I can open 100 threads in one day but these should be useful and informative. In general threads actually information and entertainment are often mixed. Both must be separate.

The new section name should be CREATIVE WRITING

You can describe it as such

Here long essyas, articles, research papers, theses etc written by the members themselves may be posted.

You may exclude poetry from here.

This will be a section for quality write ups. No matter it has one or 100 topics or memebrs. Just a corner where members want to publish their own write ups for comments and information of others and for educative and reformatory purposes. It will be like the editorial page of a good newspaper or a magazine.

So I assume you have a lot to share with us? I whole-heartedly agree with the Quality vs Quantity notion, My concern is do we have enough participants?

It will be only for creative writers. Now it depends how many creative writers we have. It will be writing a small book, research paper, an expository or interpretive or analytical essay , a fiction, a short story etc and yoiu know very few can write or dedicate time to such writing.Hopwever may be here we find many great writers.

The question will not be of participants but of quality writing. May be a member just publish his or her article an dno one will participate as it will be like a newspaper editorial essay and very few will write comments but the role of the essay to inform, to reform and to educate is enormous. As compared to a Hujra topic where we have 100 participants but the topic has only one or two days life and then it disppears.

In this section the write ups will have a permanent value like a book or an informative piece of writing quoted and cited for centuries.

I ll try my level best to contribute. dont worry just about participants, We can tolerate one section without participants. there are many many sections where we have many participants. THis section will be unique..with quality not quantity or number. My be we have both quantity and quality.
