  • Flags!

    Dear admins, mods,

I realise eventually if you spend enough time on the board, one will get to know who is who and where he or she is from.

But for newcomers it's really difficult figuring out Afghan from Paki.

Since unlike PDF for instance, most are Muslim, and well, how to put this delicately, Hindu unfriendly?

So could you please introduce flags for members. Would help greatly.

    Cheers, Doc

Why do these indians feel the need to waltz into other places where their presence is neither desired, nor required? Not to mention, some of them, like vsdoc, talk in their strange indian language from time to time. They do it in such an arrogant manner, as if assuming we'll understand their dravidian tongue. Their media has brainwashed them into thinking they're something they're not.

You don't see any of us invade an indian forum. I guess these guys realize they're naturally inferior. The only advantage they have is high numbers. Literally nothing else. Cheap labor because of abundant labor supply... next super power guys watch out.

This is a forum for all Pashtuns whether from Afghanistan or Pakistan or Mars. It doesn't matter to us if one is Pakistani or Afghan Pashtun. It defeats the whole purpose of this forum to split Pashtuns into categories. The aim of this forum is to bring Pashtuns together from around the world.
Having said that, there is nothing wrong with being a proud Pakistani and Pashtun at the same time and being a pround Afghan Pashtun. Everyone is welcomed here as long as they follow the forum rules. If anyone disrespects Hindus, You can use the report button above their post on top right and the staff will deal with it.

I agree. I don't think you understood what I said.

I was just asking what the motivation is behind people (and if I'm honest, I was merely referring to people like vsdoc, if not solely referring to him) essentially invading a forum that has little to nothing to with them, only to promote their agenda, and in some cases, speak in a tongue that next to nobody else would understand. I'm not saying they should stop doing it. I'm just wondering why they would want to.

Then I ended that with India sucks.

Hope that clarifies things a bit.

Thanks Shapur. I see your point. I am pretty confident that not just in this little corner of the Internet but in the real world too, all Pashtun are soon going to become one.

            Inshallah.

            Cheers, Doc

People are racist and paranoid here as it is. We don't need to make it worse by having their nationalities mentioned by their names. Besides, how would you figure something like that about a member?? Expect them to show your their passports?? Also, what is the point of doing that??

It helps greatly to know where a person is coming from to know which nation he (or she) was born and grew up in.

Their politics. Their social values. Their culture.

                Their worldview.

The reason I participate on international fora is to understand different people and what makes them tick.

The next best thing to actually going and living in those countries among those people.

That's my way of looking at things, but I totally understand Shapur's point as well.

                Cheers, Doc

You can find out about where a person comes from by communicating with them. After all, this is a discussion forum. Labels like flags would just give you reasons that judge each other unnecessarily. You want this because you know a Pakistani could easily be confused for an Indian due to his understanding of your language. You don't want to be caught dead being nice to one so you want to know pakistanies when you see them online before you even engaged in conversation with them. That's a ****ty idea.

I agree you get to know a lot about a person by reading what they have to say.

I think this is the first time we are interacting directly, but I've read some of your posts.

You are consistently bitter and nasty. Which is cool. I can do nasty with the best of them.

                    Cheers, Doc

                        Never claimed otherwise.

I like to understand people and what makes them tick.

I don't come to fora to make cyber friends in the virtual world.

That said, a prick online is generally a prick in the real world as well.

If you think telling me that I am bitter is going to "tick" me off, you have another thing coming your way. Come to think of it, you remind me of someone.. who was it..?? Was it Winn buttler?? He or she was also whinney and annoying like you. AlternActive. That's who it was.

The very thing could be said about Pakistanis. You see mujaris, Punjabis and god know who else who comes to this forum. Don't get me wrong, their presence is most welcome, but trolling and insulting is certainly not welcomed. I have been in this forum for quite some time, but I have yet to meet a non Pashtun Pakistani who aren't trolling and cursing.
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.
