    MOTW #13 Levanaye Zalmaye

    Our 13th member of the week is:

    Levanaye Zalmaye


    A little something about him:

    Levanaye Zalmaye was one of our very first members in our community. His unique style of posting is considered priceless by many including myself. He never fails to put a smile on your face when called for. Aside from being a respected member of our community, he is very caring, tolerant and wishes to see us Pashtuns all successful individuals    .

    For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."


    The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

      I adore Levanaye's posts Every week I vote for him to be member of the week and I hope soon he will get that recognition. He is so funny and clever I am tempted to made a thread called :

      You are loved and adored by many, Levanayea. Me included. Heartfelt Congratulations.

      I quite like scones with green tea and there's that smart little shopping mall in Clifton called The Forum with a coffee shop to the right as you walk through the main entrance.

      You know where to take me when I'm next in Karachi, but today it's scones and tea on me.

                              Qrratugai, what do you say - you, me, ten other infidels.... and we smoke, drink, say neutral stuff about Salam Rushde, tell each other how jealous we are of Bilal Philips and his wonderful charm and commit similar deadly sins that you have been accused of in order to celebrate?

                              Musafira, what do you think the significance of me becoming the thirteenth MOTW is especially since the thread was made exactly at 09:11 AM (GMT+5) on 20-10-2010 (which is also the same day that Gisele Bündchen and Ima'am Bukhari were born)?
