  • Dagarwal Spamming Wrong Threads

There is a poster , Dagarwal, who keeps posting news articles about Afghan politics in the Afghan History page.

I simply informed him he is posting in the wrong section, and he is now acting like a spoiled child. Can somebody move all his misplaced news/political talk back in the Political News and/or World News section?

    Spamming?

my threads are about historical events thats why they are in that section.

can you tell me what this thread has to do in history section?
A space dedicated to conferring the happenings that make up the history of the Pashtun population and how contemporary and previous generations yield justifications and solutions for them.

shouldnt it be in science and technology section?

calling me spoiled child while spends 300 to do a DNA test,to prove what?

you could help 6 families survive with that same amount of money in AFG,just saying.

      Dear Khurd-Zabet,

the term "historical" can´t be applied to recent events, news and media leaflets.

Genealogy is definitly part of anthropological and historical research because it´s about the determination of who Pashtuns are and where they came from.

If Midnight Sun´s topic was just about DNA research with no connection to Pashtuns and their genealogy, then your argument would be right.

        Dagarwal,

I apologize if my tone was disrespectful to you. I think your topics are definitely worth discussing and are very interesting. It's just the threads you start really belong in the political section, or possibly world news.

As you requested, here are some of headlines you posted in the History thread that should really be moved:

Afghan History topic should be for those interested in a discussion about classical Afghanistan, genealogy, tribal history, famous kings, leaders, archaeology, ancient anthropology, old wars, even Afghan paleontology, revolutions, and old insurgencies.

Dagarwal saheb like I said, you have great topics, but they created an entire section for political and world news discussions.

Moderators will pick up a reported thread. I happened to see this message on my phone whilst I was on the move.

I have tried editing from time to time on my phone, but it is awkward and some edits/changes don't happen until I or others are sitting near a computer. For that, a little patience is required.

In general, most people set up threads in the correct place, though of course, Moderators can move posts/threads across subforums. When this does happen on the odd occasion, most folk barely notice, though of course, Members are reminded to match their topics/threads to the correct subforum.

            Midnight_Sun,
Salam. Your concern is legitimate, and I admit we are at fault here. We should try to clean the section up. I will work on it right now. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for taking your time out in addressing this persistent issue.

            Best,
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
