    MOTW #10 *Mahzala*




    Our 10th member of the week is:

    *Mahzala*

    A little something about her:

    *Mahzala* aside from being a very humble person has excessively contributed towards our community. Most of her work goes unnoticed since its done behind the scenes. She is the driving force for many of the changes you see in our website here. She has been offering suggestions on how to improve things in our community since the very first day.







    Please PM your vote for next week, with an explanation on why He/She is your nominee. Have in mind, everyone has an equal opportunity.

    For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."


    The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                            OHH MY GOD!!!!!! How could I have missed this?! I'm always excited for the next moderator - it's such a suspense! And today, I was thinking to myself, "No, ONE more day! It'll happen tomorrow (Tuesday)." And omg omg omg omg!!

                            Yay, YAY, our own Mahzala! Congratulllllllllllations! Umbarkullllllllations! You more than deserved it, girl! I still remember reading your very first posts and being so impressed and so pleased with all of your replies! I still believe that you're some 40+ year-old hidden in the body of a younger person. Your maturity level is far above that of the age you're claiming, and I'm gonna maintain this all my life, I tell you!

                            You have great leadership skills and you're one of the most intelligent people on the forum! You do great justice to Pukhtuns by representing them well, and we'd be doing ourselves and other Pukhtuns -- and hence the entire world -- a big favor by learning from you, turning to you for guidance every now and then, and pondering your opinions so as to learn more and more from you.

                            It's a delight and a privilege for me to know a female who takes a balanced and well thought-out approach on many, if not all, aspects of life, someone who is extremely well-educated, intelligent, cultured, AND knows who she is and what she wants. On top of it all, I can call her a good friend! We might meet many people who meet these standards, but not all of them can be or want to be our friends, or at least we can't consider them friends.

                            Thanks for being you! About time your contribution and your presence were acknowledged and appreciated publicly!

                            P.S. I still look forward to our shopping trip and our sipping tea on some veranda, admiring the skies and the weather, in Australia or or or or the U.S. or Swat or Afghanistan! (Or all of the above! It's possible, k?)
