Gentlemen and Ladies,
Salaam. House Reminder People.
In order to ease the job of tidy-up, can we make sure that when we are creating threads that we set these up in the appropriate sub-forum? A key error that many are still making is around newsworthy/discussion items that wrongly end up either in the Politics or World News threads. A quick rule of thumb would be this - Members should be posting in the Politics Section any discussions that centre around Pashtun affairs either in Pakistan or Afghanistan. The World News Section should be for other world news discussion points, that are of topical interest.
On a similar point, today I moved some items that were entertainment items in the History and Culture sub-threads to their relevant place. I realise that on occasions some items fit a number of categories. On most occasions, I expect that the thread starter can make an informed decision as to best fit or if need be consult with a Member of Staff. Putting items in the correct place will reduce the number of repeat threads on a similar topic and will mean less need for me to merge threads.
Din Saab also mentioned some time ago about having dual language thread titles. I think this is a good idea, where possible, but will mean that title lengths will need to be reduced in length to allow this to happen.
Lastly, please be respectful in your titles - threads title should not be poorly worded with type errors and whilst headlines are fine, should not single people out or be provocative.
