    Proposal to Change Registration Process

    Salaam u Alaikum Board Members,

    In order to retain and improve the quality of contribution on the board and to manage registrations more effectively, provisionally the Admin Team are proposing that new registrations should be on an approval basis. This effectively means that the auto-registration facility will be removed and that Newly Registered Members will not be able to post as their registration will need to be approved.

    It is important that registration to PashtunForums remains open so that new ideas and a sense of open community are encouraged, however it is hoped that approving new Membership will allow us to keep the quality of contribution on the board.

    I will be adding a poll to gauge your feedback on this proposal, which at the moment remains under discussion.

    that would certainly help with the spammers with those videos and what not..I would suggest that you also implement some sort of "posting on the forum" criteria..at the very least people should be asked to mind their language and not open multiple threads regarding the same issue

      I agree with it...what about spammers like Pashtotv?....i remember the staff praised that spammer very much and ignored my point.

        OK fine but what will be the requirements for the approval by the Admin ? I mean what will be the main points on the basis of which a new member will be approved or disapproved ?

          The requirements won't be similar to an IVY league.

          We will accept humans or aliens, provided that they follow our rules and aren't trolling. Requests would be reviewed, and generally approved within 24 hours, provided that everything looks fine. I think after half a million posts, it's time we ought to change our registration policy, so we can drastically improve our quality. There is always room for improvement. We prefer quality over quantity.

          The way I look at it, only a member who wishes to contribute would want to go through this rigorous policy of becoming a member. Not to mention, it would eradicate most of the spammers we now face.

            Luffy, I don't remember who you are talking about. However, there is a chance that you are right. In advance, I would apologize and tell you that we are humans, and as humans, we make mistakes. Just because our usernames have different colors doesn't mean we are different species.

              With all due respect, that would cause more problems. We simply don't have the manpower to read a thousand+ posts per day, and approve them one by one. However, I thank you for your suggestion. I also hope you report posts that you find unacceptable, so we can continously work on improving our forum quality.

                  Tor khan may remember him, this PashtoTv guy joined forum solely to advertise his online channel. He was contineously posting a single post many times in different irrevalent sections of PF.I reported his post that was spread every where for spamming. As no action was taken and he was contineously advertising his site, so i told him to shut the fck up and told him to check forum rules...even in his introduction thread he was advertising his site, instead of introducing himself. Tor khan instead warmly welcomed him and za ye spuk krram.
                  I am searching his thread , then i am posting link.

                              We've already enabled it, and the trollers/spammers have found ways around it. We deleted a good 20-50 threads per day.
