This indeed is a reflection of your love, desires, enthusiasm and efforts for our people. It says more about you than we would have known otherwise. And like Admin Khan said, this was evident from day one. I hope together, as a nation, as a people, we witness our oneness, where the foundation is not hate, corruption or hunger for power, but sincere devotion and love for one another. May the sun shine on your endeavours Khushal Khan =)

A picture speaks a thousand words, indeed.

No words can suffice how beautiful the banner looks. The snow covered mountains and the stars like diamond studded around the tree. Also what its symbolizes is just awesome. Great work Khushal Khan Khattak!!!

As you guys can see, there have been some changes done to the banner, and as some of you might not know who those guys are or what the banner stands for, lemme just spell it out here:

          • those mountains are the mountains in Kabul city, Kabul has been the Capital of Afghans for a very long time throughout the last millennium.
          • the tree represents the fact that all Afghans are blood related, we are not just a nation, we really are One Nation, sharing the same ancestors and DNA, that is why our DNA no matter which tribe is the same.
          • the 4 stars represent the four sons of our famous ancestor Qis Abdur Rasheed and so represent all Afghan Tribes
          • the fifth star, above the rest represents both Qis himself and our martial history, since we have remained as Kings who ruled huge empires, it represents the Crown.
          • The circle represents unbroken Unity.
          • The White Silver color of all these symbols represents Islam.
          • the Heroes from left to right are:

          1. Rahman Baba Muhmand
          2. Mir Wais Khan Hotak
          3. Sultan Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghori
          4. Khushal Khan Khattak
          5. Sher Shah Suri
          6. Ahmad Shah Durrani/Abdali
          7. Sultan Mehmud Ghaznavi
          8. Nadir Shah

Basically, it is about Unity between all Afghans and our tribes, no matter if they are in Pakistan, Afghanistan or anywhere else.

Nice picture and Nice work However

"four sons of Qees Abdur Rashid"

I feel abit reserved over the Stars, as according to the whole theory,Karlan being the founder of my tribe and many other Karlani Tribes, was not a direct blood relation to Qais Abdur Rashid, So I expect one to be atleast abit more honest and follow the theory correctly.

                  Kind Regards

Thank you Khushal Khan Khattak for updating our banner. It means a lot to all of us.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

About the Banner and its symbolism:

The mountains in the background are the Mountains of Kabul City, the ancient Afghan Capital for centuries.

The tree in the symbol represents the common lineage of all Afghans as being blood related brothers. It also represents evergreen Islam as the sacred Olive Tree.

Islam is represented as all the white in the symbol including the circle.

The circle represents unbroken Unity between all Afghans whether from Pakistan, Afghanistan or elsewhere. It shows that we are one, unbroken even over time.

The four stars represent the four sons of Qis Abdur Rashid and therefore ALL Afghan Tribes whether from Afghanistan, Pakistan or elsewhere.

The Crown represents the common ancestor Qis Abdur Rashid as well as the fact that Afghans are a great Martial race and have been kings and emperors throughout their history, it also shows our dominance

The lion was the ancient Afghan Emblem of War on the flags of most of the Old Afghan Emperors and kings and represents bravery as well.

The Heroes from Left to right are:

                        • * Hamza baba Shinwari
                        • * Abdul Hai Habibi Kakar (who wrote the famous classic masterpiece Pata Khazana)
                        • * Bacha Khan
                        • * Shahbuddin Muhammad Ghori
                        • * Mehmud Ghaznavi
                        • * Mir Wais Khan Hotak
                        • * Khushal Baba
                        • * Rehman Baba
                        • * Ahmad Shah Baba
                        • * Sher Shah Suri
                        • * Nadir Shah Afhshar
                        • * Amir Karor - One of the earliest Afghan literary masters among many other famous qualitites.
                        • * Ghani Khan
                        • * Nazo Ana Tokhi - The Warrior Mother of Mir Wais Hotaki and a classical poet of Pukhto.

People people!! guys!! also read my previous post for the symbolism!!

The most important thing in the banner is its symbolism for Afghan Unity, Islam, and other things !!!.

Yay!! Our beloved Ghani (God be pleased with him eternally) is now on the banner! Good. I feel complete now.

Oh, and ... only one female! Whoa! That says a lot . . . but khair, in a matter of less than a decade or so, there'll be so many more Though I'm sure Samar Minallah, Shaheen Sardar Ali, and all of the Malalais (including the 11-year-old princess of Swat) certainly should be there as well... especially Malalai of Maiwand!

Good, good, I love this updated banner! Puts my heart and mind at ease just seeing it (mostly, again, because of Ghani Baba, but yeah!).
