    A consideration request for moderators.

In my opinion, though we defer to yours, I think that Maseed's essays, until they are well referenced, belong under this section:

BarakzaiAbdali get a life please. I have noticed you are very irritated when one speaks against Pakistan but that does not mean you expose your vendetta against me. I said, if one needs references or sources of my articles, they can PM them.

If I am going to be attacked in this manner by the likes of you, then I wont even write again, and I will let this Barakzai who looks very Punjabi/Indian Mojjahir to me from Pakistan say what he likes.

        Gentlemen ...

I've been busy the past couple of days and just had time to log in to do a little tidy-up/maintenance and not much else. Maseed has kept me in the loop with regards to his writing when he was posting. I did point out a couple of possible edits that Maseed should make for his first essay, but didn't get round to making suggestions for the second essay (although there were a couple of points that I did have in mind).

I think its a valid point to suggest that a finished article should carry references. To be fair Maseed did say that I was at liberty to edit if I needed to, but my edits are really limited to housekeeping. Like a lot of opinions expressed here, these are his essays not mine and these types of initial thoughts could be considered a first draft work-in-progress. I'm sure that genuinely constructive criticism will be welcomed by the author.

... Lets try to encourage quality pieces of writing on a variety of subjects, that we can add to the Creative Writing/Research sub-forum. Even extracts from academic pieces of writing can be used to stimulate further discussion, so its a worthwhile pursuit.

Thank you. Btw, the PF staff and Admin need to be commended for the following:

This dictionary has served a very very valuable service for the medical community here at Yale.

Here is why... when you down load it as an adobe file... you can word search via the find function in adobe and actually locate certain esoteric words for organ systems etc. For instance, the proper word for the muscle overlying the back as opposed to simply washa or "meat"

In this way, it is much easier than Qamosona as the Arabic script font there is very difficult to read. Moreover, the dictionary gives the pronounciation and allows you to actually learn the Pashto script in the process.

It's very good to know that Soldat and BarakzaiAbdali have resolved their problem professionally. I am proud of you two.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
