  • Congrats on upgrading to vbulletin

Hats off on upgrading the forums to vbulletin, this is a great effort on behalf of the admins considering the vbulletin is very expensive but this upgrade is sure to improve the browising experience and will make maintaining this place a lot easier.

As a result of this upgrade

Users will have access to a lot of useful BBcodes and the interface will be a lot more user friendly.

People will be able to use "Multiquote", so they can reply to multiple posts in one post

Reporting bad posts will be more efficient

You will be able to see latest thread updates in a specific section highlighted on the index page.

People will be able to easily see the updated posts without having to go through every section through the 'todays post' section.

Once you log-out your name wont be shown for hours on the "who is online" section

People will now be able to create groups where you will be able to have discussions and what not.

You can now add other people as friends or block them if you dont like em, you can leave visitor messages on profiles and whatnot

Everybody with their old avatars, will have to resize their avatars according to the forum specs. Its important because if the avatar is too big it takes a longer time to load the page and since lot of users are browing at the same time it puts a lot of unnecessay load on the server.

These are the few things off the top of my head, Admin Khan will be able to better elaborate on the updates

oh yeah and new emoticons, they'll be a lot better than the old ones :D

        Thanks for understanding.

        Almost done guys, almost done.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
