Asalamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu all true Muslims and Pashtoon brothers and sisters,
Recently there has been some heated controversy and arguments here at Pashtun forums.
As per my understanding Admin Khan wants this forum to be more than just an internet discussion board, but also a resource for Pashtuns. An online resource which can benefit Pashtuns and friends of Pashtuns in many ways including promotion of their culture and heritage, support in learning Pashto and of course also a place where people can learn and exchange valuable information.
Unless I am wrong he would also like this place to be one which promotes a positive image of Pakhtoons.
My suggestion
I therefore now come to my humble suggestion which the admin team can evaluate and reject if they do not consider it appropriate.
Ghairat, i.e. is something important for all true Muslims and of course Pakhtoons. To protect the image of our brothers and sisters in this forum, the support and announcements forum can be made private, i.e. only able to be read by registered members signed in.
1. This way instead of random lurkers being able to follow discussions about people, differences will be kept inhouse and resolved internally.
2. There is now need for people who are not even active members of this forum to be able to read about forum administative affairs, Pashtun history, culture, language, politics, Islam, world politics..YES...but sensitive issues between different members...NO.
3. This is a practise common in many forums and maybe the new sub-forum can be called something like "support and comments", or even a more Pashtun name like "Jirga and Mashwera" forum.
The announcements forum can stay public to make public announcements.
This is just my two pence, and I will respect the admin team's decision as they know more about this forum than I do.
