Perverts in the Forum

I have an issue to address to whoever is in charge of the forum regarding perverted comments made by creeps who join just to perturb Pashtanas on the forum. If this keeps on being tolerated, the legitmacy of the site is at stake and the real Pashtuns will no longer feel at home/ comfortable.

Can there be a system where they receive warnings and are banned after repeated violation? I think the administration is run rather poorly here, especially considering there are several mods already on duty. Many violaters are ignored and let off the hook.

It's not just that you should act until someone hits the report key. Active monitoring of the forum should be taking place as well with warnings and bans issued out to people who violate rules.

do you all expect the net to be a fantasy world where there are no such things as pervs? well let me tell you the internet is FILLED with pervs that's why people need to be careful what they say/do because a lot can happen if things fall into the wrong hands (be is a male's or female's wrong hands). How can the mods know when and where exactly there are pervs? What if things happen behind the scenes? there are so many weirdos & pervs & liars in disguise, no one may ever know........ lol that's all i have to say (:

i understand where you're trying to come from but moderators and administrators are here for preventing that type of behavior from occuring and they're not doing a good job since many of these are repeat violators who could have been banned after a couple strikes. its only a few people responsible...its not so difficult to manage and deal with them.
when violation of alleged rules, if there exists any, occurs those in charge should act. i have failed to see that "action" on their part though. these people have been engaging in bad behavior over and over again even with "behind the scenes" knowledge of the admins and mods yet nothing has been done. retribution is instead directed at people whose guilt merely lied in their political opinions, it seems.

Let me put it to you like this Qunduz - I travel a fair bit. I have 3 main email accounts that I check regularly - for personal messages, work messages, university messages. Right now I am on a week's vacation. I am in Europe, but due to travel again due to work and academics. I am not on the forum 24/7, but do check back often where I can get a wifi connection or sometimes I use my phone. I cannot read every thread, nor can I check everyone's VM space.

The reporting tool is the best way to flag up concerns.

Setting up a thread every time your stress level rises is not the best tactic. You end up drawing attention to yourself rather than the matter at hand.

If there are people whose intentions are questionable let me know.

Ah ... but you already criticised me for having banned a member ...

... so many people to please ... invariably, some will like what I do ... other's won't ... all of that is relative, I suppose and it depends on which way the judgement falls ...

i don't think people were offended by what the thread was about... but were offended for being accused of things. i don't remember, and i don't think we should restart that whole thing... a lot of bad things came out of that thread. Not because of your initial intention, but things naturally turned into chaos and the rest is history.

kha, i don't know what to say to that so i'll just wait for them to respond for them selves.

but from my personal experience on PF i think they have been doing pretty well for the busy lives they have in the real world & dealing with the crazies etc. I'm not saying they are 100% perfect & also my experience may be completely different than your time here, or even the next person.

Tor Khan this concerns all of us. It is not a personal issue of mine but one involving all members and staff. the majority of members here share my opinions and concerns.

there is a moderating team including administration team so your busy schedule is no excuse for rowdy people to be roaming on the loose. second, from experience we can tell that the report key here is symbolic because no action takes place against repeat violaters who are allowed to keep engaging in abusive behavior afterwards with no suffered consequences. that to me, is bias considering others who do nothing in comparison are swiftly banned.
