A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

so when will there be another meetup? also, I would like to see ways how we can send money back to Afghanistan, and make sure it gets to the right peoples hands. I think meetings should center around actual goals where all people can cooperate. Lets evolve PF into an organization in the future.
Please keep this brothers only, as I think people (guys mainly) will use this as an indirect means of dating which will break down the reason for the meeting in the first place

Our first ever PF meet up was yesterday at Toronto. It was my pleasure, and absolute honor in meeting up with some of the brightest minds of Pashtun Forums. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Nick, Toramana, Amir al Ghaznavi, Meemwawmeemnoon, BLS1919V2.0, Alchemist, and many other local Afghan scholars from various other websites. I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time out to visit me in Toronto. I know many of you had to travel from various parts of Canada, and I appreciate it. I had a blast.
My impression on the Canadian Diaspora:
I was highly impressed to see the Afghan/Pashtun community thriving. They even had a local Pashto newspaper! I had the pleasure in meeting up with the president of one of the Afghan associations, and I was highly impressed. Keep it up people. Make your nation proud.
Best,
A
P.S
I also attended a local Kandahari wedding in Canada, and I was allowed to record the Attan. I will post it later on to show how the local Torontonian Pashtuns held it down.
Why wasn't I invited to this meeting

I think you know the answer to that. I enjoyed how on page 7 someone named angaar (ex-administrator) insults one of the most esteemed alims registered at this forum calling him a suicide bomber and instructs him to stay away from their meetings. Apparently angaar was offended by sangar's simple comment, "A secularist meeting. LOL". Intense degree of emotional sensitivity I suppose.Originally posted by graveyardofempires View Postwonder if we would be welcome at these MEETINGS?

Your blatant disrespect to our religion has been reported.Originally posted by Wahe Guru"your faith states you will drink rivers of wine and be intoxicated in its drunk state" - so it is OK to be drunk all the time in paradise? Just not allowed on Earth.
Interesting. I guess health care is totally free in paradise (how many physicians per person up there?) and therefore no problem being intoxicated all day and night.
