After I meet you guys. It was great. When I went home I didn't eat all day right right, things got worse, I was like sick, thanks for drinks and food being offered guys, I hope no bad feeling. Aside from Doukh and Coffee that I had when I home I got sick, did not sleep all night. I guess the mixing of Coffee and Doukh was not a good idea, but thanks Amir al Ghaznavi, and BLS so much for offering etc.Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostGreetings PashtunForums,
Our first ever PF meet up was yesterday at Toronto. It was my pleasure, and absolute honor in meeting up with some of the brightest minds of Pashtun Forums. I had the pleasure of meeting up with Nick, Toramana, Amir al Ghaznavi, Meemwawmeemnoon, BLS1919V2.0, Alchemist, and many other local Afghan scholars from various other websites.
I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time out to visit me in Toronto. I know many of you had to travel from various parts of Canada, and I appreciate it. I had a blast.
My impression on the Canadian Diaspora:
I was highly impressed to see the Afghan/Pashtun community thriving. They even had a local Pashto newspaper! I had the pleasure in meeting up with the president of one of the Afghan associations, and I was highly impressed.
Keep it up people. Make your nation proud.
Best,
A
P.S
I also attended a local Kandahari wedding in Canada, and I was allowed to record the Attan. I will post it later on to show how the local Torontonian Pashtuns held it down.
What happen that night i told Admin and others that I was full the night before. While admin was in a Kandahari wedding I too was invited in an small Herati Shrinikhori, with some 120 people in an small restaurant. I was there till 2 am, and I eat so much that i complain to you guys as well. But oh man I eat too much, didn't sleep until 5 am.
It was good to meet our brothers from different regions and what we all agreed was that we had a good time. Discussions went everywhere we some how understood each other as well as get to know people personally.
I understand it was difficult to set such meetings and guys traveling from different cities just to that we can all meet. But I hope we have more of this happening, I can see a form of unity being developed. Face to face with those we had disagreements with it, i tell you it was a good feeling, off course there was smiles, sometimes red faces lol right admin. but hey again it was all fun.Last edited by Nick; 03-21-2011, 01:12 PM.Happy Ramadan everyone. That is brilliant news. I remember a person on this forum once told me, in these very words: Mahzala, I know others come here to pass time, but there are people, like you and I who have a vision, of a family and furthering these bonds beyond this mere cyberspace. Our experiences here, for one reason or the other, at some point or the other do extend to become strong desires to build and share bonds. As our mashar Nick said, it shows the beginning of a destined united relationship. After all, change starts small. With those whose desires lie in advancing these changes, my sincere prayers are warmly shared.

That's right sister. Its only us who have to step up, many people specially westerners, and our young brother and sisters get confused to what is Good and bad, wrong and right facts and lies. Its us that can help them make a better decision, its us who has to let them know of what's happening or has happened in our society. If we place our words with action than imagine what kind of a great unity, and brotherhood we can bring in Afghan society as well as in the afghan society. In one of our discussion with the PF forum meeting I mention that where I was some 10 years ago compare to where I am right now was all due to my gain of knowledge. yes it took time to be a better human, to say what is wrong right and fact lies, yes it took time but at the end what i gain was to love everyone in Afghanistan. In 35 years of war there is enough hate that people even drink each-others blood, all due to illiteracy. Information is what we have and that's what need to be given out.Originally posted by *Mahzala* View PostThat is brilliant news.
