    Assalam-Alaikum.

    Greetings Pashtun Forums,

I am going to keep this very short. Please post threads in their respective sections. Please think twice before you post a thread to make sure it's in the right section. If you are not sure, please PM a staff member. Do not post about poetry in Political talk, and do not post about a Pashto song in the development section. Please help us keep our forum neat and tidy. This is our community, and we have to work together to make sure our site is neat & organized.

Please utilize the "ignore list" feature. If someone is getting on your nerves, ignore that member. You do not have to retaliate, nor do you have reverse-troll(as Wrayun would say). If someone is consistently attacking you, contact a staff member. We will help you, we promise.

Guys, we need to show the world we are peace-loving nation. We are being demonized in our lands, and we have to use this site to voice our frustration. We shouldn't be attacking each other. We have to show the world we are well mannered individuals, not uncivilized animals. I am confident that each and every one of you are capable of having professional discussions.

    Caveat:
Be more tolerant, and just because someone has different views does not mean you have the god-given right to attack him or her.

    Thank you.

    Best,

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
