  • Has this website become a platform to ridicule pashtuns and Islam?

has this website become a platform for people to come try to manipulate pashtun public opinion?
ive seen many pashtuns here acting as if they are in a position where they can have thihs so called neutral discussion with people who call pashtun women prostitutes in hijab and people who badmouth Islam by labeling it arab imperialism.

if you cant defednt he Pashtun honour and if you dont defend Islam in here ,than it means that you have no right what so ever talking about pashtuns and Afghanistan and pukhtunkhwa.

because your view is that of 0.0001% of Pashtuns.

other thing i dont understand is these people such as Osho Toramana who say they are Pashtuns and try to approach Afghan internal social problems with their western bias regarding muslim men and women.

these people not only contributing to anything positive but they relentlessly are engaged in derailing and corrupting any constructive discussion.
they throw in their hatred for Muslims and try to cover it with fancy words such as pan islamism and arab nationalism.

and dont forget according to these fools Pashtun women are worth dogs and are living as slaves and yet they wnat us to believe they are pashtuns.

other group who is ****ting on this site are these Indians who think we Afghans are in love with them while the reality is we know very well what India is and what it is not and if you think we will somhow choose your side against pakistan than you are mistaken.

take your bollywood crap to somewhere else and dont try to interfere in two muslim brothers matters.

and to all my Pashtun brothers and sister i must say lets assume this website was our home and we would welcome people but would we tolerate them degrading our women and talking non sense about our religion and culture?

    LEG SHAANTEY GHAIRATH WEKEY!!!

They are not against you or your people, they come from midst your people. They just think differently and have different ideas. Learn to respect each other ideas, you don't have to agree with them. Don't take it personal. However, people are not perfect, so if it does get nasty, don't get involved.

grave, you dish out insults and profanities left and right, might want to keep a check on that.

      btw, wrong forum!

          Re Wrayun:
          He's not a 'grave' - he's graveyard of empires.
Big difference, don't insult him subtly like that

          GYE made valid remarks.

I'm glad sensible people like Master Khan backed him up.

The bottom line is that these INTERFERING members,
who by the way NEVER tell us ANYTHING about THEMSELVES but
arrogantly pop in to try to puncture every nice discussion that they
happen to catch sight of, are out of step with what most Pashtuns
and Afghans are going to identify with: Islam, conservative social values, looking out for the protection of women and much else.

I'm searching in my own mind for the reason hardly anyone seems to care about Islam at all and mostly is interested in Western secular values.
Let's say Islam APPEARS to [no one can read everyone's heart here]
take a back seat to the rush to become Westernized, as though that is the
          social Mecca !

I really get disappointed - as though this generation which grew up here and in other Western countries as gone astray from the entrenched values of many decades and even centuries.

Pashtuns' strength is in keeping to those values
As soon as they become "extra-cool" Westerners, all this erodes.

Maybe it's none of my business at all. I'm just an American after all.

But I'm trying to infuse a little of the greatness of earlier years by holding up a yardstick.
Sometimes this process of becoming just like everyone around one
          happens without one actually realizing.

I hope members will take stock of where they are in this regard.

As far as the Indian members, it's nauseating the stuff drona comes out
with so cockily as though this is HIS personal forum and he's here
to teach everyone the Indian Nationalist Party Line.

No thanks - I think the guy should be politely asked to refrain from this
          uninvited interference.

If someone thinks I shouldn't be here I would bow to that.

In his case, he has no conceivable connection to Pashtuns: did not know any
          has never been in Afghanistan
          -- THAT HE HAS REVEALED ! --
so what IS his business here ?

In contrast, I never fail to point out that hindupashtun is a model member.
          It's not about religion.
It's about a certain arrogance in political approach.

Grave or graveyard of empires, it's still a grave, where bodies rot. Thank you for realizing that it can be deemed insulting calling someone or something a "grave". After all a grave is not a wonderful place. However it wasn't my intention to insult anyone. Yet, here we have this young man, who willingly calls his mother land "graveyard of empires", and you seem to support him. This was a term that vast political entities used to boost the average Pukhtoon/Afghan emotional zeal so they can die in wars that aren't theirs.

But we can't blame others, we are naive and stupid enough to call our own motherland a graveyard. A dump yard where empires come to rape, pillage, kill, practice their new weaponry and war tactics. After they are done, they pack their bags and leave. We never killed any empire, Russia is there, so is Britain, and so will be America. Yet such language is necessary to recruit jubilant village idiots to fight proxy wars.

I suggest that some other country volunteer as the GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES. We are sick of the smell and sight of our dead.

btw, as a non-Pukhtoon, non-Muslim (I'm guessing here), you have no right to question the motives of other members when you yourself have failed shed light on yours. You are in the same boat as they are.

                Re Master Khan's
latter line, that's very polite of you to say.

Again THIS is a real Pashtun !

I don't see this sort of nice manners that I remember so well
                over THERE
shown by many of the members HERE, who seem like
a different breed of people altogether in many of these ways.
It's simply disappointing and I hope people will try to think about this problem of why
they lost their culture so fast in the West.
Is the Western influence a good one?
How can one TAKE the good elements

and skip the bad ones seems to be
the question that few of the type of members mentioned
by GYE ever ask themselves, having swallowed
everything in the West whole, without discrimination between
                useful and destructive characteristics.

Actually I aimed that only at Wrayun and Master Khan's comment posted afterwards. Otherwise I would not have made such a point about it.

If we call him grave, though, it sends a subtle and unpleasant message, so I just wanted to protect him.

                  Wrayun,
I have talked about myself in clear terms from my very first post here.
You never paid attention previous to this day.

I have told many, many, many anecdotes and given much information about myself
and my ideas, as well as my motives in being here in the process.

You never happened to read those threads.
So don't get belligerent - it's RUDE to blame me
                  for your inattention.

In contrast what do we know about Osho or Toramana?
                  Almost nothing comparatively.

About drona, ZILCH, except that he's some sort of student in India.
Strange to me he should have so much extra time
to come in here with a very unpleasant name
                  connoting drone attacks
and keep telling everybody the Indian line?

I think GYE said it really well about Afghans and India.

You haven't revealed anything about yourself. You have only made round abouts your adventures, but little information about who you personally are and what your objectives are if any.

I don't know about Osho, but Toramana is a veteran of Pukhtoon discourse. He is actively involved in Pukhtoon affairs from a long time. I don't agree with him on many things, but my respect for him as a concerned Pukhtoon is never lost.

You on the other hand, can answer these two simple questions:

                        Are you a Pukhtoon?
                        Are you a Muslim?
