Well i am just a lowly Maths graduate .. the idea of doing a masters and sitting through more lectures made me feel ill! ... admirations to those who carried on.

U find math boring? I am so disappointed ... ...if i were you i would definitely work for my masters lol... look at me making decisions for you.

math was my favorite subject in high school and in univerisity. there were times i was considering getting a math degree instead of the one i have.

Being a journalist in Afghanistan must be both amazing and stressful ... hope to read some of your work.

As for critics, i can respond in very 'professional' manners too!!

Feroza - I love Maths, just hate lectures ... also i was not disciplined myself to just study independently, i wanted a teacher to sit with me and motivate me ... which is what i have to do now LOL

We have officials from various political parties on board spreading their own agenda, but that's what makes us unique. Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

I think its pretty much the same as schools in cities in the US. Its a inner city all inclusive school (so not just the bright rich ones) ... some kids have a lot of issues going on at home, drugs, alcohol, violence, neglect, families on 'welfare' as you call it, but then some who are from normal working class families, naughty kids, nice kids, aggressive kids ... we basically have everything, diverse in status, culture, ethnicity, relgion .... i am rambling ... LOL

Its not as bad as the worst schools in somewhere like the Bronx .... but not far off i would say.

The title of your degree sounds amazing!!

                              Good job khorey.
