There are many languages in Bihar. Maithili and Bhojpuri are major 2 bihari language. Others are Angika,Bajjika,Maghi etc. The number of Bhojpuri speaker is 200 million and it is spoken in 20 countries. However only maithili is accepted as a language by GOI. Bhojpuri is still considered as a dialect of Hindi not language, however it has it's grammar and separate script also. BTW Bhojpuri is accepted as a language in Fiji,Guiyana, Mauritisus, Nepal and other many countries.Originally posted by Feroza_Banu View PostLOL yes i am a pashtoon... from mom and dad both sides and i am from afghanistan...

oh by the way... my latest passion is to learn indian food
... my husband just loves spicy food and for him i have to learn how to cook it...
I am posting two bhojpuri song videos. Video is not good but song is good.
YouTube - Bagal wali-Manoj Tiwari
YouTube - A bhojpuri video by Manoj tiwari..........
Some difference between original Bhojpuri and Bollywoodi Bhojpuri.
Original :- Hum ja tani.(I am going)
Bollywood :- Hum Jate hain. (Hain is typically used in Hindi and Urdu not Bhojpuri)
Original :- Raur ka haal ba.(How r u. for older people than you), Tahar ka haal ba(How r u. for people of same age than you), Tor Ka haal ba (How r u. for
Younger people than you).
Bollywood :-Aap ke ka haal hain. ( Aap is Hindi word)
BTW Lali speaks better bhojpuri than any other in "Agle janam mohe Bitiya hi Kijo" because she is from Patna(capital of Bihar).Last edited by Guest; 09-28-2010, 12:46 PM.
