Why so much emphasis on your Brahminness?? Is it true that Brahmins keep themselves clean and pure by not allowing people of the "lower class" to contaminate their water fountains in public places by touching them??

There is no shame in criticizing or accepting criticism- a constructive one. The Brahmins esp. the Priest class do practice the "untouchable" law/rule. They claim to be "Aryans", I would love to watch their faces when they figure out, the MOSt Aryan(genetically) are the Pamiris and the Yagnobis. Wonder if dem' Pamiris and Yagnobis would get the "Brahmin Privileges", now that they are practicing Muslims .

because it's a race/ethnicity of indo-aryan people of north India. we call ourselves brahmins mostly same way you guys call your selves pushtuns not Afghans or Iranians.

yes, we used to do than, now we dont. one of my best friend is a "St" class Dalit.

i know, many people asked me same question who have studied Indian history.

clean : we bath regularly. cleaning is part of our sanskar or culture.

Pure : i dont know what you are trying to say... be more specific

how do you know ? are you one of us ? what if i say that all pushtuns are homos or bachhabaz ?

              They claim to be "Aryans",
we dont claim to be Aryans, we never claimed or (called ourselves to be Aryans.) majority of Brahmins dont even know what Aryans means. it's ideologists, anthropologists and non Brahmans who keep calling us Aryans.

we always identified as vedic or Brahmins, we dont need to use usernames with specific Aryan word.

I would love to watch their faces when they figure out, the MOSt Aryan(genetically) are the Pamiris and the Yagnobis.
most of brahmins are already 70%+ r1a carriers and our R1a is different frm other r1a groups. if Pamirs carry more Aryan than good for them.

Wonder if dem' Pamiris and Yagnobis would get the "Brahmin Privileges", now that they are practicing Muslims .
no, Brahmans are specific race. we are descender-ed from Vedic people of
Indo-Aryan race. we have our own clan/gotra system which indicates our Vedic/I-A Tribe and ancestor.

Honey, based on what you wrote, you seem to lack knowledge of your own people. The Vedas that you supposedly have to follow states it clear what an Arya is- now we call it Aryan, your country at least in ancient times was/is also known as "Aryavarrta". I know about your people, because I'd like to educate and inform myself. To know about your people I don't have to be one of you. You guys actually claim most of what Central Asian/Pamiri history is, i.e the Vedas, some of us have to keep an interest on you guys when a lot of you guys promote "Out of India theory". You are wrong about 70% Brahmins being R1a in the first place, you could say 70% of the tested Brahmins - I am not even sure about that tested population, though you guys have a specific common subclade of R1a there. Brahmans are not a Race, lol. I know of your gotras, its like out tribes though seems convoluted.

I am not gonna yell like an idiot for you calling some Pashtuns who practice bacha-baazi as bacha baaz, there are few bad apples, I agree. That does not mean that's our core culture. However, caste system and the whole "untouchable" stuff is deeply rooted within you guys for a long time. I didn't say all of you are crae. I know that many of you treat others like like the way you wanna be treated, but you guys have had and still have caste system, and regard Brahman as something divine like, though its not in the Vedas.

Anyhoe, have a pleasant stay here and I hope you are not here just to verbally insult our common neighbor.
                Peace

You have a friend that you still refer to as a Dalit/untouchable?? How kind of you. They should give you an award or something.

                    Welcome!
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
