Well, after finishing my PhD and my daughter being born I was quite busy with organizing what to do. Currently I am in Tehran, doing a research project, till autumn.

For new year was actually thinking to go to Baluchistan, as I did last year, but seems that my plan won't get fulfilled this year do o some financial and organization problems.

    But let's see.
How are You doing? Where are You? What are your news?
You have a blessing of a child! Congratulations on your remarkable achievement of the PhD.
I was preparing for my permanent retirement to Afghanistan, then I too had another addition in my family so it looks like I will have to keep on working. I spend almost equal amount of time in Kandahar and Dubai. Recently I visited Balochistan; Quetta and Chaman. I didn't manage to see the Juniper forest of Kalat, I hope to see it next time.

      Thank You a lot!
And congratulations to Your addition too! My best wishes!!

I have been just to Iran's Baluchistan , on a trip from Chabahar to Zahedan, as i doubt a foreigner can go and visit Pakistani Baluchistan, as far as i know the military for security reasons don't allow you to stay there.

How is it in Kandahar and surroundings concerning safety?

On the world map i see that great Registan desert in Your region, seems a very interesting area for nature, but unfortunately as far as news say in a very dangerous region.

A year ago i visited the Lut desert, which is claimed to reach the highest temperatures o earth, but i doubt that such studies have been done in the deserts of south Afghanistan. Considering its size, it must have many interesting places.

Hon is a name to call a group of people, i suppose it refers actually to Hephthalites.

As far as i know Armenian historians just mention Hons, Kushans, Parthians concerning that region.
But maybe i ave to check it again.
Yeas ago i read those sources
