Killzai? But i think then You were on the forum, while i was active even for a long time.At least i remember the fights some people had with You.Originally posted by jama0112 View PostYeah, i know you. I'm new here, but i was lurking this site way before i made an account. You had some interesting posts. I just didn't knew you was armenian back then though.
You can just call me blackkillzai like everyon here.
Yes i am Armenian. Just by occasion got intersted in Pashtun culture, and this forum took me much deeper inside all this area. That was really good, i learned many interesting things for my life and met here really many great people.
I like forums personally much more than other media, and participated in a Chechen forum too, before it was unfortunately closed. You can find really much more interested people on forums, and the dialogue form is much better than on other platforms, if the moderators do a god policy.
We had here many fights and many good people left or got aggressive, hate appeared, but still this place is alive and people come back.
I am glad to hear my old friends are fine, and wish everybody whom i met here best health and a meaningful life!
Thank You all !!!

I'm not killzai. I was joking. People call me killzai here due to some dumb comments i wrote(about me being indic-looking, despite i'm an afghan pahstun), along with me being kandahari( it's a little long story, but killzai made some sock-account, that was supposed to be a pahstun who praised kandaharis and saw them as ubermesnchen of all pahstuns. As his sock-account mentioned kandaharis, i mentioned i was from kandahar, but my dad was from Kabul. I must have misheard him, as my grandma told me he's a kandahari as well). It's a little annoying somtimes, but i just accept being a sock-account of killzai, despite i'm not.
But you can call me killzai too, if you want to. No point of proving otherwise though.

Welcome! Been a while. Happy to have you back.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Well, after finishing my PhD and my daughter being born I was quite busy with organizing what to do. Currently I am in Tehran, doing a research project, till autumn.
For new year was actually thinking to go to Baluchistan, as I did last year, but seems that my plan won't get fulfilled this year do o some financial and organization problems.
But let's see.
How are You doing? Where are You? What are your news?

Yes, no problem at All.Originally posted by Sarbani View PostWelcome! Out of curiosity, would you mind telling us how you got in interested in Pashtun culture being an Armenian?
Actually being in Europe i had many friends from Afghanistan (mostly from north), and never deepened so much about their country. But once on youtube, while searching for some videos on Tolishi history i came by chance on two channels, one of which was a channel of a guy called Pokhton.
I got interested in his videos. And as i am interested in ancient history of the region, specially that in ancient times Armenians had many connections to your region, i started asking Pokhton some questions, and he told me to visit this forum and talk to the people here.
So i registered and liked here a lt. I was once were active. But thatwas during one of my most difficult periods of life, and so for various reasons i had to stop from posting often. Then i lost my password and ad to register a new account.....

During Sasanian ans Safavian periods, Iranian Elites used Armenian and Lezgian soilders to fight their wars in the east. During the Sasanian wars with the Kushans the armenian historians say, that many armenians found people from their own believes in the east and deserted , but could therefore never come back home. It was a quite big group. Armenia and the Kushan empire had connections on a certain period because of their problems with the Sasanids.Originally posted by jama0112 View PostWhich connections?
I haven't heard about any connections with your people to my people, except some armenian church in Afghanistan, which got destroyed.
Later history repeated itself during the Safavids, but lesser is known about that period, as Armenia wasn't a country anymore.
The area armenians were usually sent too were the nowdays Nimruz, Helmand and Kandahar provinces as well as Pakistani Baluchistan.

By the way, an interesting phenomenon is the verb system of Pashto and Armenian. In both languages verbs in the infinitive finish with -el, and some verbs, like to sit or to free sound a bit similar in both languages, as far as i remember:
-to free in armenian : Azatel, to get freed Azatvel
- to sit: Nstel
i think more can be found
