  • Hello Pashtuns, i hope you can help me

    Hello!

I was watching a documentary about Afghanistan on YouTube. At the end, they played a song. I wanna know what they are singing. And i hope you could help me translate that piece.

Why did i come here to your Forum you may ask. The documentary was about the south of Afghanistan and i did research and came to the conclude, that people speak pashtun in that area.
It can be, that i am complete false, then it would be very cool if you can tell me in which language they are singing.

I would be very happy and thankful if somebody can translate it. It would be nice if you could write first the lyrics and then translate the meaning and then translate every word. Because i would like to know every word.

Alright, i have cut the song and uploaded it.
If you have any Questions, just ask.

    Kind regards,
    paul

It's a religious song about a prophet. I'm not religious so can't give you any background info unfortunately. The first line means "he is the beloved of his people and takes the sorrow away from them, that is the prophet Khairul Abrar." That's all I could understand really as I'm from Pakistan and Afghans have a different accent.
