    Hi guys

I'm Jake A. With an organization that works closely with the UN in and around Kunar. Are there any Mohmand tribe members here with professional education ? We want to work with just such a person who should also be bilingual to represent us to a series of Momand jirgas. Any UN experience and understanding of international law + English proficiency at a high level would be the best case scenario. We have our hands in a series of projects that emphasize agriculture and local law development systems and resource development. For now due to cultural sensitivities we need a male candidate but in the future as our work stems the tide of extremism we can hope that cultural norms will permit a female Mohmand tribe member to help.

Too bad my Pashto skills are crap. But this does touch on a topic I have been thinking about quite a lot. I live in the Netherlands and there are quite a lot of Afghans here. Most have a great education, are passionate in what they do, are eager to help their homecountry, etc. Yet if you start looking for job opportunities in Afghanistan, it's almost impossible to find something. I always wondered why the Afghan government and international organization working in Afghanistan never really utilized the potential of Afghans living in the west. Or maybe they are doing that, but I just missed it?

We try to play nice with Kabul but we rely on private protection to bypass the bribes that are extraordinarily draining. We Perform due diligence by registering our groups with the proper oversight organizations in our home nation and just avoid confrontation with as many people as we can. If we encounter friction we try to explain ourselves and if we get no where we don't argue or fight , we peaceably depart. I won't pertend to be an expert on the problem you cite but will say "where there is a will- there is a way!"
