  • Hey

I am from Pakistan. How is everyone doing?

I am mostly interested in reading Pashto poetry. I am not too much familiar with Pashto script and would like to familiarize myself with the same. It's nice to meet all you guys.

PS: Why is the Pashto font so ugly and small? Am I missing something?

Miss zeesh, pashto font is not ugly... its small because the the one who post it is in small font. He needs to make it large so that it can be seen and read easily.
    Anyways welcome

Well, thanks a lot for the welcome.

I am a guy and zeesh is my nickname.

Nice to know that most of the users are Afghans here. I always wanted to meet Afghans. Afghans have a rich culture and traditions which I admire. And No, I don't hate Afghans. Whatever happened to you guys is quite unfortunate and I feel for you. We are also going through similar problems.
Blind hatred is never a solution to any problem.
I hope you are aware of the great Pashtun leader Bacha Khan and his ideals of non violence. Personally, I feel much closer to his ideals.
Rest, I hope to know you guys better and we learn something from each other.

Thanks for welcoming me. I am a guy not a girl

Well, I can increase the font size, no problem, but I guess this site is using Tahoma as default font.
I have seen some urdu forums with nastaleeq/naskh font as default and it's easy on the eyes. That's why inquired if you guys are using some nastaleeq/naskh font.

              Welcome
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
