    Assalamo alaikum, Looking for a good Afghan bride

    Hello,

    My forefathers migrated from Jalalabad, Nangarhar (AF) to India (at the time of Afghan-rule in India). Now we the Mohmands (ghoriah Khels) are living in India, we have lost our culture and language and now many (ethnic-pashtun) families have started marrying their children to non-ethnic pashtuns.

    I do not want to spoil my lineage rather I want to improve it, is it possible that I could marry a pure pashtun girl and bring her to India so that I keep my progeny pure blood, so that no Indian blood could mix into my family.

    Could I get a good religious (Afghan-Pashtun) family who will marry their daughter/sister to me. I speak URDU so my wife should know URDU or ENGLISH.

      Most Pashtuns who are traditional wouldnt allow their daughter to marry someone who is unable to speak Pashto.

      It seems you are further detached from your Pashtun identity than you think.

      Pashtuns dont look for wives via random websites by posting an ad like you do.

      This is considered as benamoosi.

      Maybe you should reconsider. The chances for you finding the one you want on this forum is equal to the amount of Pashtunwali left in you. 0

        It is not an Ad nor I am seeking for any alliance online

        This is not an Ad nor I am looking for a bride online, I just wanted to know the mood/nature of Afghans. I posted this only to get good suggestions/opinions.

          Salam, welcome to the forum.

          Depends on the family really. Some pashtuns do give their daughters away to non pashtuns but the families must at least know each other. There are plenty of Patans in India, Find a nice muslim patan girl from there who speaks your language urdu and settle down.

                    I really appreciate your good intentions. This is great that you want to maintain your lineage in a non Pashtun country. What I will suggest that you may start learning Pashto as a second or third language. Try to establish Pashto chair in some Indian university or think tank.

                    Few Pashtun rulers like Ilaudin Khilji, Lodhis and Sher Shah Suri has very good name in India not like the religious bigots like Aurangzeb. Use their names for historic references. There can be an Indian Pashtun Association as millions of Pashtuns are living in India and are losing their identity for ever.

                    If you can get a visa for Pakistan or Afghanistan and can have some good references then I am sure during some of your visits to Paksitan and Afghanistan you can get a pure Pashtun even Mohmand bride for you. But you have to coordinate all this through the embassies as your bride must have visa to reside in India.

                    Urdu is not at all a problem as many Afghans and Pakistani Pashtuns already know Urdu if not it can be learned in India.

                      Just marry a good woman from your own city who your parents are happy with. Forums are the wrong place for this thing.
