  • Salaam from Qambrani Baloch

Asalaamo alaikum, I am a new member of Baloch origin and I come here in the interest of learning more about Pashtuns who are our neighbors and cousin people. I have many Pashtun friedns and some relatives by marriage. I can also speak Pashto (which is shameful since I only know very little Balochi). For most of my life I have lived among Pashtuns in Quetta and now I am in Oman, I have some Pashtun friends here as well.

I have a great interest in Pashtun culture and language and especially similarities between Pashtun and Baloch.

Also, I saw a thread about Baloch which lead me to join this forum.

Salamoona, izma noom Hussain Qambrani da ao za da Balochistan yam kho os pa Oman Sohar ki osezham.

Baloch culture is really similar to Pashtun culture. The two are very similar!

      Thank you brother

Pashtuns and Baloch are closest to each other than any other group in Pakistan.

I wish for both to prosper.

There are many tribes in Balochistan like jogezai etc who speak Balochi but are ethnically Pashtuns and the other way round like you being baloch but speak Pashto. Many Baloch speak Punjabi and Sindhi as mother tongue too.

The difference between Balochs and Pashtuns is that fortunately Balochs are not influenced by Islamism, Political Islam, Wahhabism, Salafism and religious extremism. Balochs are still a secular people thus preserve their culture, dance, music and festivals while Pashtuns have sacrificed everything at the altar of Islamism and Taliban.

Please advise your people to remain secular otherwise they will lose their identity.

Pa Khair Qambrani brother---I have a lot of respect for Baluch people. I had a dear Baluch friend who died few years ago. I consider Baluch and Pashtuns akin to each other.
